Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses hosting services from DEVNSOFT LTD, trading as RoyalNode. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference. Violating this policy can result in content removal, service suspension, or termination.
1. Purpose
This policy exists to keep our Virginia, US-East infrastructure secure, reliable, and lawful for every customer sharing it, and to make clear what is not permitted on RoyalNode services.
2. Prohibited content and activity
You may not use RoyalNode services to host, store, transmit, or distribute:
- Content that is illegal under applicable law, including in the United Kingdom and the United States.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, or tools designed to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Phishing pages, fraudulent schemes, or content designed to deceive or steal from others.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Child sexual abuse material, which is reported to the relevant authorities without exception.
- Content or activity that harasses, threatens, or defames any person or group.
3. Network and system abuse
You may not use RoyalNode services to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate open mail relays.
- Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks against any network.
- Scan, probe, or attempt to breach the security of other systems without authorization.
- Run cryptocurrency mining or other workloads that are not disclosed and that materially degrade shared server performance for other customers.
- Circumvent account isolation, resource limits, or other technical controls of the platform.
4. Resource usage
Shared and reseller hosting plans are intended for typical website and email workloads within the disk space, bandwidth, and account limits described on the relevant service page. Usage that consistently degrades performance for other customers on shared infrastructure may be limited or moved to a plan with dedicated resources, such as managed VPS or a dedicated server.
5. Account security responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping software on your hosting account, including CMS platforms, plugins, and themes, reasonably up to date, and for using strong, unique credentials. Compromised accounts used to distribute malware or spam may be suspended to protect the wider network while the issue is resolved.
6. Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse of RoyalNode services, contact sales@royalnode.comwith details and, where possible, supporting evidence such as logs or headers. We investigate reports and take action consistent with this policy.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may warn a customer, remove specific content, suspend a service, or terminate an account for violations of this policy. Where practical and safe to do so, we will attempt to notify the account holder before taking action.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new risks or platform changes. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
